Call us with the property postcode and the date your current record runs out. Please list every gas appliance in the property, not only the boiler. The engineer needs access to each appliance and the gas meter, so tell us who will be there to let them in.
Every gas appliance and flue you provide for the tenant has to be checked and listed on the record. In older terraced houses that can mean a gas fire in the living room, sometimes with a back boiler behind it, as well as the main boiler and a gas cooker or hob. Appliances the tenant owns are not yours to check, although the gas pipework in the property remains your responsibility.
A gas safety check records whether the appliances are safe. A boiler service maintains the boiler as the manufacturer requires. One does not replace the other. Booked together in one visit they cost £168, a saving of £62 on booking them separately.
Halifax is in the Calderdale Council area. If you let a licensed house in multiple occupation, a condition of the licence is that you give the council a gas safety certificate each year, so keep the record where you can find it.

Yes. Every gas appliance and flue the landlord provides must be checked and listed on the record, including gas fires and gas cookers.
In England, landlords must fit a carbon monoxide alarm in any room used as living accommodation that has a fixed combustion appliance such as a gas boiler or gas fire. Gas cookers are the exception.
